SEO or search engine optimisation is a backbone to get you online presence and helps to make a website much more prominent and easily noticeable without spending much on paid traffic. The web is flooded with millions of SEO - The Little Things Do Matterwebsites with billions of search happening everyday to find out the relevant information from the end user, it’s the SEO which makes one website more prominent over others. The whole idea is to make the internet more user-friendly. It is therefore used as a promotion media with respect to the web marketing industry.

The first most important matter to make your webpage SEO optimized starts with keyword. When you type your search word in a search engine, search engine scans the entire text of the website or webpage and looks for the keyword in it. Though proper usage of keyword is very comprehensive subject, to make it a simple, I will say “the earlier the keyword, the higher will the webpage is in the priority list displayed by the search engine to the user”. What therefore must be kept in mind is that the search engine optimisation cannot read the images or videos in a webpage since it can look for only the relevant keyword or keywords in the text. Having said that there are alternate ways to make your image or video optimized using alt tag.

Proper usage of keywords are just one aspect of SEO and many other factors takes places broadly known as on page optimisation and off page optimisation. While on page optimisation deals with working on your website by modifying the source code, Meta tag, title, H1 / H2 / H3 heading etc. to make is friendlier for search engine bots, while off page optimisation deals with link building strategies. Since it is not an advertising media, it requires absolutely no cost if you are doing it yourself.
